According to the Pro Armor class action lawsuit, LSI Products used certain words in advertisements to describe the UTV doors that were allegedly false and/or misleading. Some of the allegedly misleading words used by LSI Products include: “safety,” “protection” and “strength.”
The Pro Armor class action lawsuit asserts that the marketing representations made by LSI Products violate California law, including California’s Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law and the Consumers Legal Remedies Act.
LSI Products denies the allegations and maintains it did not violate California law. However, it has agreed to settle the Pro Armor door class action lawsuit to avoid the expense and uncertainty of ongoing litigation.
The LSI Products class action settlement was preliminarily approved on Jan. 5, 2017.

Class Members who do not submit documentation may claim a 10 percent discount voucher with a maximum $60 discount value.
The deadline to file a claim for the Pro Armor doors class action settlement is June 2, 2017.
In addition to providing gift cards and/or discounts to Class Members, LSI Products has also agreed to discontinue advertising the doors as providing “safety,” a “safety benefit,” and any other type of benefit except for a “style” benefit.
