A recent asbestos related mesothelioma claims that a man died as a direct result of inhaling the fibrous material. The claimant has filed legal action on behalf of her deceased loved one, alleging asbestos related mesothelioma ultimately resulted in the development of the deadly respiratory cancer.

Asbestos is a fibrous material that was popularly used for construction and manufacturing purposes before the 1980s. The material reached its peak in popularity during World War II, by being used for insulation purposes. Asbestos was widely used during this time for its fire and chemical resistant qualities, as well as for its low cost.
