Ford is recalling more than 163,000 Ford Bronco vehicles from model years 2021 to 2023 due to a potential safety issue with the driver’s seat frame.
The Ford Bronco recall, announced Oct. 23, affects vehicles where the front seats may have a loose or dislodged seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt. This defect could compromise the seat’s ability to restrain an occupant during a crash, thereby increasing the risk of injury.
“A seat with a dislodged bolt may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury,” the recall notice says.
Ford has stated that dealers will replace the pivot links and bolts at no cost to the vehicle owners.
Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this Ford recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov starting Oct. 28, 2025.
