Ford Motor Co. issued a recall for more than 27,000 model year 2025 Ford Bronco vehicles over concerns their child safety lock feature may not work properly.
The automaker said it is concerned the left-hand rear door in the recalled Ford Bronco vehicles may be able to be opened from the inside of the vehicle when the child safety lock is in the “on” position.
“A malfunctioning child safety lock that allows a rear door to be opened unintentionally can increase the risk of injury,” the Ford Bronco recall states.
Ford said it plans to remedy the recall by having its dealers inspect and replace the rear door latch in the recalled Bronco vehicles, as necessary and free of charge.

Be smarter than your kids. It’s always someone else’s fault. Own up to being a parent. Remember when these didn’t exist?
I’m driving a ford escape right now I have problems with the child safety lock being unintentionally open.
