Ford wiper motor recall overview:ย 

  • Who: Ford Motor Company is recalling 37,371 model year 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E and Ford Bronco Sport vehicles and model year 2023-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles.ย 
  • Why: The recall was initiated over concerns the vehicles contain a defective windshield wiper motor.ย 
  • Where: The Ford recall affects certain Ford vehicle owners nationwide.ย 

Ford Motor Company Is recalling more than 37,000 vehicles over concerns they contain a defective windshield wiper motor.

The recall involves model year 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E and Ford Bronco Sport vehicles and model year 2023-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles.ย 

Ford says water can enter the wiper motor on the recalled vehicles, which can cause it to become inoperable.ย 

โ€œAn inoperable wiper motor has the potential for reduced visibility or loss of visibility in certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash,โ€ the Ford wiper motor recall says.ย 

Ford expects to begin mailing recall notification letters Aug. 26

Ford says affected vehicle owners should take their vehicles to a Ford or Lincoln dealer in order to have their windshield wiper motor inspected and replaced, as necessary and free of charge.ย 

The automaker says it expects to begin mailing notification letters to affected vehicle owners on Aug. 26, 2024; the notification process should be complete by Aug. 30, 2024, Ford says.ย

In other recent news involving Ford, a Delaware federal judge declined last month to dismiss a class action lawsuit filed against the automaker over claims it sold certain model year 2016 and newer vehicles with defective Ford 1.0-liter EcoBoost engines.ย

    Iโ€™m needing to find out about a situation on lug nut studs faulty on a 2010 Ford Expedition limited. I also have a 2010 ford Explorer xlt with a coolant hose issue just randomly cracking and causing an issue on an interstate.
