Bank of America employees have filed a class action lawsuit claiming the bank failed to pay them overtime and other wages. More than a dozen lawsuits were combined into the class action lawsuit, which could affect as many as 180,000 Bank of America employees if it’s approved.
The class action lawsuit alleges Bank of America requires employees to work more than eight hours a day or 40 hours a week, yet fails to pay them for both overtime and for all straight time worked, according to a news report. Another news report says the employees claim they were told not to record their overtime and even had their recorded hours modified by Bank of America to eliminate any incurred overtime. The lawsuit also accuses Bank of America of requiring employees to work during unpaid breaks, failing to provide meal and rest breaks, and failing to pay terminated employees for earned wages and accrued vacation time in a timely manner.
The class action lawsuit is seeking back pay and other damages for class members in addition to attorney fees, and could be worth more than $100 million.
UPDATE: Bank of America has reached a $73 million class action settlement to resolve these allegations. See how to file a claim for the Bank of America wage and hour class action settlement now.

I sent out my letter in June when I got it. When will money be paid out?
You can call the 800 # and listen to all of the prompt at the end and you can leave a message for them to look into locating your claim. They called me back to assure me they had my claim form. The 800 # now is advising the checks will be sent out (meaning dropped in the mail) by the end of Sept. or the beginning of Oct. 2014. I would allow 7-14 days for delivery.
What is the 800 number?

I worked there also 2013-2014. I was pulled aside and was told I wasn’t going to last in that bank. ” I do not think this is a job for a single mother with a baby, because he gets sick. You cant just leave him right?”. I had to reply,” No I will not leave a baby on his own especially when he is sick.” Mind you this happened only three times. All cases of bronchitis. I also worked my last day for free. I tried reporting it but was ignored my HR and former managers. Everyone at that bank gives you the run-around when you are owed money by them.
How do I get in this class action?
You should have receive a claim form and letter. The deadline has already passed but you can try the 800 # and listen to all the prompts and you may leave a question to see if you can still submit a form. You can also review the different dates of employment and locations that were approved in the lawsuit.
i lost letter were do i get it ?
I also work for b of a…… A lot of my co workers received the letter but I did not. How can I be apart of the suit?
How do I become a part of this lawsuit I was employed by back of America in 2006 2008’then I resigned and started working with them again this year In 2014.
I was notified by mail about this lawsuit on May 9th, I completed all the paperwork requested and sent it back to the lawfirm by mail, but its now 01-2014 and I still haven’t heard anything. Please advise.
This company did exactly what is claimed here and then shuffled many of those employees off to work for HP in such a fashion as to not pay severance pay. Want to know why the economy stinks? Because big, connected businesses like this that get special treatment by the government will never have to compete like a small business. They’ll just lie about profits (they make money hand over fist on credit cards) and then claim to be hurt by the mortgage market. It’s all a big scam. I was getting a loan with countrywide, then bank of amer took it over and lost it and then strung it out until I was broke and still didn’t finance it.

I worked for BOA for 14 years and many times would not get a lunch. Went to events to promote checking accounts, worked many evenings and then was told to go back to the bank to update new accounts in the computer so I could call customers back with account numbers. One time at the bank alone until 11.00 pm. Never got paid for the time. Worked events and was told I would get time off for the hours but not get paid overtime.
Christmas eve bank closed at 1:00 and I was told I needed to work until 3:00.
I had a manager who had been with the bank for only two years and had managed to fire 18 people within that amount of time. I called our district manager, Colleen Sharf and we met for breakfast and I explained to her the bullying that the employees were dealing with regarding this manager. I was told to just do as my boss said.
I would come to work at 6:30 and stay until 6 at night to catch up on all that this manager told me to do. Was never paid any overtime.
i am in the same situation. is there a number is can call to get a form to participate ?
