Conair recalls Cuisinart 3-in-1 grill with pizza oven due to glass laceration hazard

Conair is recalling its Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grills due to a potential safety hazard.

The Cuisinart recall affects more than 12,660 units, including those sold in Canada, after reports emerged of the tempered glass window in the pizza oven shattering during use, which could lead to serious injuries from lacerations.

The recall notice, published on July 9, applies to the Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill with model number CGG-6331. This gas grill features a griddle, a stove top burner and a pizza oven with a tempered glass window located on the lid.

The grills were sold at major retailers, such as Lowe’s and Walmart, as well as online at cuisinart.com, between December 2024 and May 2026, with prices ranging from $500 to $750.

Consumers urged to stop using the affected grills immediately

Conair is taking steps to address the issue. Consumers are urged to stop using the grills immediately and Conair is offering refunds to affected consumers.

The company has set up a dedicated website and a toll-free number for customers to obtain more information and process their claims efficiently.

The Cuisinart recall notice advises owners to visit Conair’s website to determine if their gas grill is part of the recall. If so, they should follow instructions to safely remove the tempered glass window from the pizza oven and submit photographs of the removed glass and the grill’s serial number.

Upon verification, consumers will receive a refund of $500 or be reimbursed for the original purchase amount if proof of receipt is provided.

Conair says it has received 37 reports of shattered glass during use and one fire was reported. So far, there have been no injuries related to the recall. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

Earlier this year, Weber was hit with a lawsuit alleging it failed to warn consumers that its metal wire bristle grill brushes pose a serious ingestion hazard.
