Bank of America settles for $73MBank of America customers are reporting they’re receiving their refunds from the Bank of America overdraft class action lawsuit settlement. However, the refund checks look like postcards and not normal checks, which may increase the possibility that some Class Members may overlook them as junk mail.

The refunds are part of a $410 million class action lawsuit settlement reached in 2011 over allegations Bank of America manipulated debit transactions to maximize the fees the bank could charge to customers who overdrew their bank accounts.

Current Bank of America customers automatically received their refund from the overdraft fee class action settlement on or about November 2, 2012, while former customers will receive their refund in the form of a check sent to the last known mailing address.

Former Bank of America customers are reporting they are receiving these checks, which must all be sent by November 30, 2012. The checks reportedly look like postcards as part of an attempt to save money on postage and printing.

I notified BoA in writing that I had several previous mailing addresses throught the time frame the suit has been settled on and provided them my most recent address. I have not received anything yet and anticipating something considering I was victim to over $5,000 of fees, during this time of fraudulent chronological highest to lowest processing of debit and purchases!

They got me for hundreds and I didn’t get anything in the mail yet.

I still remember one time I overdrafted my account they rearranged the dates to hit me with 4 fees instead of ones. I deposited 80 bucks all I had that afternoon, then went out to eat. By the time I was done eating they’d hit me with the 4 fees and my card came back declined. I had to go to a nearby pawn shop an pawn my ipod to pay the damned bill. BOA are bloodsucking scum.

I received a check for $8.39, I was expecting hundreds of dollars! I better be receiving more checks, or they will be sued again.

On Saturday, I received a “check” for $93.99, not enough in my opinion, but better than nothing. However, tried to deposit the “check” in the ATM at my new bank and it was not accepted by the scanner. it does not read as a check. We’ll see what happens on Monday when the bank opens.

The checks looked like a late fee POST card or a magazine insert.. and in NO way looked like a reimbursement.!!

The card should have been clearly marked should have been clearly marked.. I remember seeing that it voids in 180 days, looking as it did WAS EXACTLY what THOSE SNEAKY PEOPLE PLANNED .
THERE WILL be more recipients that toss them out because BOA again wanted to scam us…Although they are supposed to pay out… Its another scam.. and they will have so many unknowingly throw them out ( as I did) again 96.00 for thousands in fees.
This needs to be legally looked at ,,… BOA = Deception at its best I know so many people who are in bankruptcy court because of BOA loan practices… We need legal people to look at this,… ” Oh we mailed out payments
..( yea that looked like magazine inserts… when was the last time you received one of those…aaahhhh never)” this was a planned revenge from them.. Legally unsound.. they should have to resend them CLEARLY MARKED!!!!
BOYCOTT BOA!!!!!! post this on Facebook, twitter… Get the word out!!!!!
