- Where: The Amazon recall and safety alerts page will apply nationwide.
Amazon.com has launched a new page to inform customers about any product recalls and safety information for items they purchased through the online retailer.
The page, called “Your Recalls and Product Safety Alerts,” provides customers with a dedicated location to view Amazon recalls and safety alerts.
“With the ‘Your Recalls and Product Safety Alerts’ page, we aim to make it easier for customers to be aware of recalls on products they have purchased in our store, navigate to get more information about recalls, and view available refund or return options,” Amazon explains.
Amazon alerts will also be emailed to customers who purchased recalled items, retailer says
When a product is subject to a recall or safety alert, Amazon customers who purchased the item will reportedly receive a personalized email with more details. Customers will also see an Amazon alerts banner at the top of their “Your Orders” page with a link to their personal “Your Recalls and Product Safety Alerts” page.
When recalls or product safety concerns were announced, customers previously had to rely on third-party websites to get further information about the issue and how to get refunds.
“With this new feature, we are able to directly reach 100% of customers who have bought a recalled product in our store and provide clear instructions on what to do next,” Amazon says.
Amazon notes its selling partners can opt in to its Recalls Logistics Service, which allows Amazon to issue refunds on behalf of selling partners and manage the logistics of returns.
Amazon settles privacy claims and faces Senate investigation, class action lawsuits
Amazon has recently faced scrutiny from the U.S. Senate over its workplace safety standards and has been hit with several lawsuits in recent months. In June, the online retail giant agreed to pay $30 million to settle two lawsuits filed by the Federal Trade Commission over allegations its Alexa and Ring services violated children’s privacy rights.
The retailer is also facing three Amazon class action lawsuits that allege the retailer uses fake discount pricing to entice customers, intentionally makes it difficult for customers to cancel Amazon Plus subscriptions, and falsely labels glucosamine products as glucosamine sulfate.

Add me they just be taking money off my card fo no reason
Amazon offered me (a prime member) discounted shipping as remediation for a seller sending me toxic lead (pb) solder that my 3 year old handled . I received the lead metal instead of a $1040 laptop i ordered, and amazon did not do anything to fix the issue, even though i explained that they will be facing legal liability. They made me pay $94 to ship the lead back for a return, and have not refunded my money. I have documentation for anyone interested in joining me in another class action suit. Has anyone else received toxic material, and not been able to reach arbitration resolution or remediation with amazon?
