If you subscribed to certain TV Guide publications between Oct. 26, 2009 and Oct. 26, 2015 while residing in Michigan you may be able to take part in a $1.7 million class action settlement.
A Michigan resident alleged in a class action lawsuit that TV Guide sold the personal information of consumers who subscribed to TV Guide Magazine and TV Weekly to third party advertisers and “data miners” in violation of Michigan privacy laws.
Plaintiff Tom Higgins claimed that TV Guide sold subscriber’s full names, the title of the magazine they subscribed to, and their home addresses.
Michigan residents who subscribed to either publication between Oct. 26, 2009 and Oct. 26, 2015 may be entitled to an estimated $50 to $100 under the terms of the TV Guide class action settlement.
