Enterprise Rent-A-CarAfter a rental car accrues so many miles, Enterprise Rent-A-Car takes it off the rental lot and places it on the sales lot. But do you really know what you’re buying when you purchase a used Enterprise car? A recent class action lawsuit claims you don’t.

According to the proposed class action lawsuit, Enterprise resold more than 125,000 vehicles without the advertised side-impact air bags. The vehicles include:

2006, 2007, 2008 Chevy Impalas

2008, 2009 Chevy Cobalts

2009 Chevy Heritage High Roofs (HHR)

2006, 2007 Buick La Crosses

Enterprise allegedly ordered these vehicles, which normally carry side-impact air bags, from General Motors and requested that the standard safety equipment of front and rear side air bags be deleted. Enterprise then sold these vehicles to customers without notifying them that the vehicles don’t come with the standard safety equipment advertised by GM and on auto review websites. “This would lead any consumer to reasonably assume that the [vehicle] it buys from Enterprise would be the same as a used [vehicle] purchased from any other source,” says the class action lawsuit. “[Enterprise] knew or should have know that the purchasers of the vehicles would assume the vehicles contained all standard equipment,” yet failed to tell them about the discrepancy.

The proposed class action lawsuit will include anyone who bought the above-mentioned make, model and year from Enterprise that did not have the standard side air bags.

I purchased a cadillac 2019 xts from Enterprise and september of 2022 and drove the car for three days and it broke down they claimed they made repairs have it back and it broke down the same day and is still in the shop as of April 2023 and i’m still paying a car note and they refuse to buy it back because the transmission is bad. It’s under warranty and at cadillac but they can’t fix and is just letting my car sit with the transmission removed from it. Enterprise will not give me corporate number and I wish it was more i can do about it

The same happened to me: two cars, two lemons, my most recent has a transmission gone after 82k. I am disabled and paid cash for this car with a trade-in. An elaborate scheme designed to defraud the consumers, Despicable deceptive practices which need to stop especially in this economy.

It was dirty when I cleaned it their were scratches, damage all over they had me bring it back said they were going to fix it drove all the way back to Milwaukee 6 times, they dt fox anything and it just fell apart after that. I’m a single mom they completely took advantage of that.

Enterprise Car Sales are reselling vehicles that they are purchasing from Nissan AUCTION, and not informing customers, who have a RIGHT to KNOW! 2015 Nissan Sentra, 18k miles… Has mold in the rear door, weather stripping and the stripping is coming out.

Calling the Enterprise agent-dealer, told me that’s why you brought a Warranty…. Not covered by warranty! I am going to file a lawsuit against ENTERPRISE! We consumers, have a RIGHT to KNOW WHERE YOU got the vehicle from, the Carfax don’t say how the car got to Enterprise!

    I purchased a car in 2015

I have purchase several cars from Enterprise and each one gave me a problem. I car was so bad they took it back after 90 days of me trying to have it repaired. My latest problem is 2010 HHR power steering failure. Will this class action suit we expanded. I am so upset each time I was lead to believe that I was mishandling the car or it was something that I did not did not do. Now I am sure they were aware of the potential problems and just did not bother to mention them.
