Reckitt Benckiser has agreed to a $53 million settlement in a class action lawsuit that accused the company of falsely advertising its Schiff Move Free supplements.
Class Members will be able to claim up to $66 in cash or up to $225 in products without proof of purchase.
Plaintiffs Gordon Yamagata and Stamatis Pelardis had alleged Reckitt Benckiser advertised its Schiff Move Free Advanced dietary supplements as a treatment for joint pain and stiffness, when in reality the supplement does not relieve those symptoms.
The Class includes anyone who purchased, within the United States and its territories, Move Free Advanced, Move Free Advanced Plus MSM, or Move Free Advanced Plus MSM & Vitamin D, other than solely for purposes of resale, from May 28, 2015, to the date of the Preliminary Approval Order.
A hearing in the case will be held March 25, 2021.
Under the terms of the settlement, without proof of purchase, Class Members will be eligible to receive cash refunds of up to three purchases of Move Free Advanced at $22 per purchase (for a maximum payout of $66), or up to $225 worth of various consumer products of their choosing, at $75 per purchase, valued at wholesale and packed and shipped at Reckitt Benckiser’s expense.
Class Members who submit proof of purchase will be able to receive refunds for all their purchases.
If all the money in the fund isn’t claimed, the refund amounts will be increased by up to three times the amount claimed — $198 in cash or $675 in products at wholesale value. However, if there are too many claims, recovery amounts could be reduced.

I purchased this product at Costco specifically for the claim of what it treats (Joint health etc) After taking it for a few weeks I knew its claims were faulty and misleading.
Please add my name to the list.
I bought it for joint pain/stiffness relief… it doesn’t work… grrrrr
Recién lo iba a ordenar pero ahora que estoy leyendo comentarios de que es un producto engañoso, que no funciona, noooo gracias!
I have been taking Schiff Move Free for over 3 years. As I was updating my medications for total shoulder replacement surgery for arthritic shoulder, I noticed this lawsuit.
Please include me in this class action as I have used Move Free for many years to help relieve knee and joint pain to no avail because these products do not work. Falsely advertised!
Double checked for $73.77. ty
Same. Can you speculate why?
I got a check for 73.77 where do I cash it?
How do I get in on the list? I have a bottle right in front of me!
Too late!
Been taking for years please add me
I haven’t heard anything from this law suit. I have a conformation code.
I submitted several receipts for Schiff vitamins purchased according to timeline and have a CONFIRMATION CODE – BUT I have not heard anything since I did in Oct 2021. On website, it vaguely states payment ecpected to be in the 1st Quarter of 2022- As March is the last month of the 1st quarter …. Is there any update?
We haven’t gotten anything yet, either.
I see a check coming today in my mail (in my USPS Informed Delivery). Not sure how much yet as my mail doesn’t get here till afternoon.
