Robitussin Honey recall overview: 

  • Who: Haleon is recalling eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult. 
  • Why: The Robitussin contamination can result in life-threatening infections in immunocompromised people.
  • Where: The Robitussin recall is effective across the United States.

Haleon issued a recall of eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult due to microbial contamination.

The Robitussin Honey recall covers lot T10810 of the 4-ounce Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult, with an expiration date of Oct. 31, 2025; and lots T08730-T08733 and T10808 of the eight-ounce Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult, with expiration dates of May 31, 2025, and Sept. 30, 2025.

The Robitussin recall also includes lots T08740 and T08742 of 8-ounce Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult, with an expiration date of June 30, 2026.

The microbial contamination can cause severe or life-threatening events, such as fungemia or disseminated fungal infection in immunocompromised individuals, the Robitussin recall says. 

For those who are not immunocompromised, life-threatening infections are not likely to occur from the contamination.

Haleon will contact customers regarding the Robitussin contamination directly

Haleon says it has not received any reports of illness related to the recall so far. The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
