Male enhancement pill recalls overview:Â
- Who: Today The World is recalling one lot of Arize, one lot of Schwinnng and two lots of Sustain.
- Why: The male enhancement pill drugs contain undeclared tadalafil and nortadalafil, which make each an undeclared new drug.
- Where: The male enhancement pill recalls are effective across the United States.
Today The World is issuing male enhancement pill recalls after testing from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found undeclared ingredients that effectively turn the products into entirely new drugs.
The recalled products, marketed as herbal dietary supplements for male sexual enhancement, are certain lots of Arize, Schwinnng and Sustain.
The recalled Arize contains nortadalafil, an active drug used to treat male erectile dysfunction, according to the Arize male enhancement pill recall. The recalled Schwinnng and Sustain contain both nortadalafil and the similar ingredient tadalafil.
The undeclared nortadalafil and tadalafil could interact with nitrates in other prescription drugs and cause a life-threatening drop in blood pressure, the Schwinnng and Sustain male enhancement pill recall says. People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates, the recall says.
Adult men who use nitrates for cardiac conditions are most at risk, the male enhancement pill recalls say.
The recalled Arize is a single lot with package code 2107 and an expiration date of October 2027.Â
The recalled Schwinnng is also a single lot with package code 2108 and an expiration date of October 2024.
The recalled Sustain is in two lots, coded as BTH:230551 with an expiration date of 12.05.2026 and BTH:230571 with an expiration date of 14.05.2026.
No reports of illness or injury from undeclared drugs, company says
Today The World says it has not received any reports of adverse effects related to the recalls so far. The company is not facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
The company is asking customers to stop using the pills and return them to Today The World, 11954 NE Glisan St., No. 405, Portland, OR 97220, or destroy them.
To return, customers should include the blister pack foil (with any remaining pills) containing the recalled lot number, a receipt or proof of purchase and a return address, the male enhancement pill recalls say.
Customers can email Today The World at [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]. Customers can also contact the company by calling 888-767-4889 or texting 360-747-7411 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday.
Meta Herbal recalled 500 blister packs of its Magnum XXL 9800 male enhancement in December 2023 because the capsules include undeclared sildenafil.
