Black+Decker issued a recall for around 44,400 of its CRAFTSMAN® V20 cordless tillers and cultivators over concerns consumers could be instructed to attach the bottom port of the device upside down, posing a laceration hazard.
The recall involves red and black CRAFTSMAN® V20 Cordless Tillers/Cultivators with the UPC number 885911843430 that were sold from October 2022 through April 2024 for between $129 and $179.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled Craftsman tillers/cultivators and to contact the company to receive instructions on how to accurately attach the bottom portion of the devices.
No injuries reported in connection with Black+Decker Craftsman tillers, cultivators recall
Black+Decker said it has received one report of an incorrect attachment of the bottom portion of the recalled CRAFTSMAN® V20 Cordless Tillers/Cultivators. No injuries have been reported, however, the Black+Decker recall says.
The recalled Craftsman tillers/cultivators were sold nationwide at Lowe’s, Ace Hardware and Blain’s Farm and Fleet stores, along with certain Army & Air Force Exchanges and online at Amazon.com.

Black+Decker’s parent company Empower Brands expanded an existing recall for its Easy Garment Steamer to 1.6 million units of the steamers in April. The recall was originally issued over concerns the devices could expel hot water, posing a burn hazard.
