Betsy & Lace has issued a recall of more than 90,000 children’s nightgowns as they pose a burn risk to children.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website published the recall Feb. 16. It applies to about 90, 500 children’s Betsy & Lace-branded 100% polyester short-sleeve nightgowns with lace trim collar.

The recalled children’s nightgowns fail to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children, the recall states.

“Consumers should immediately take the recalled nightgowns away from children, stop using them and destroy the nightgowns by cutting them in half. Betsy & Lace is contacting all known purchasers directly,” the Betsy & Lace recall says.

No injuries have been reported to date in connection with the recall, the company says.

Betsy & Lace is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.
