Recall Alert: All Dressed Ruffles Recalled in Multiple States Over Milk

Consumers with food allergies need to be on the lookout for recalled Ruffles all dressed flavored potato chips that Frito-Lay warns may contain undeclared milk.  

The contaminated Ruffles all dressed chips were sold in Sam’s Club warehouses in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. The recalled chips may contain milk that is not disclosed on the packaging.  

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product contained inside the recalled bags,” warns the recall notice issued by the US Food and Drug Administration Wednesday. 

A favorite in Canada, the all dressed flavor is not supposed to contain milk, but it appears there was a mix-up. The notice says that the bags are being recalled because they may have been filled with a different kind of chip.  

The recalled bags of Ruffles all dressed potato chips include the 16 1/8 ounce variety. The FDA recall notice says that the recalled chips will include both a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of “1 JUN 2021,” and one of these 9-digit Manufacturing Codes: 373205510, 473305610, 473105610. 

The FDA says that no other Ruffles all dressed chips are included in the recall, including those in variety packs.  

No allergic reactions have been reported to Frito-Lay yet. Consumers with a milk allergy or sensitivity are urged not to eat the recalled bags of Ruffles all dressed chips and throw the product away.
