Four types of sexual enhancement pills sold as supplements to “get your perfect sexual life” are being recalled in the United States, after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found they contain hidden ingredients normally only accessible via prescription.
Nuri Trading voluntarily recalled all lots of Shogun-X 7000, Thumbs Up 7 (Black) 25K, Thumbs Up 7 (White) 11K, and 69MODE Blue 69 sexual enhancement capsules, which are sold on Amazon and commonly seen in corner stores.
The Korean company issued the recall in the United States Monday after the FDA tested its pills in its laboratory. The tests found they contain undeclared tadalafil, sildenafil, and/or vardenafil — the active ingredients used to treat erectile dysfunction in prescription pills like Viagra and Cialis.
While the ingredients are FDA-approved for the treatment of erectile disfunction, the fact they were undeclared in these sex pills make them “unapproved new drugs for which the safety and efficacy have not been established and, therefore subject to recall,” the FDA said.
The FDA said consumers with underlying medical issues who take the pills not knowing what they contain could experience serious health risks.
The agency said the trio of undeclared ingredients — known as PDE-5 inhibitors – may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, “lowering blood pressure to dangerous levels that may be life-threatening.” People with diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease often take nitrates.
To date, Nuri Trading has not received any reports of adverse events related to the pills, the FDA said.
Anyone in possession of the pills — marketed as dietary supplements for male sexual enhancement and packaged in blister foil sheets in a box — should stop using and destroy them immediately, the FDA said.
The recall comes as the FDA continues to crack down on what it calls “tainted sexual enhancement products.”
The administration is actively warning consumers that it has identified a trend where over-the-counter products represented as dietary supplements contain hidden active ingredients that could be harmful.
“Hidden ingredients are increasingly becoming a problem in products promoted for sexual enhancement,” the agency said.
Consumers should contact their healthcare provider if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking the sexual enhancement products in the recall. Anyone with questions regarding the recall can contact Nuri Trading by phone at (201) 380-1046 or email nuritrading17@gmail.com, the FDA said.
Adverse reactions experienced with the use of the product may also be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program either online, by regular mail or by fax.
It’s important to be aware that dietary supplements are not required to receive FDA approval like their pharmaceutical counterparts. This has led to dangerous and potentially deadly claims by health supplement companies when marketing their supplements. Here’s more on how to protect yourself.

If any men are taking any type of ED or enhancement pills, please keep an eye on your testosterone levels. Too high is unsafe.
