BlendJet blenders class action lawsuit overview:
- Who: Luisset Figueroa and Jean Joseph filed a class action lawsuit against BlendJet Inc.
- Why: Figueroa and Joseph claim BlendJet manufactured and sold BlendJet2 blenders that break or otherwise stop working within a short period of time.
- Where: The class action lawsuit was filed in New York federal court.
BlendJet manufactured and sold BlendJet2 blenders with a defect that causes the device to break or otherwise stop working within a short period of time, a new class action lawsuit alleges.
Plaintiff Luisset Figueroa and Jean Joseph claim BlendJet, by virtue of the amount of complaints made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, is aware of the alleged defect with its BlendJet2 blenders, yet continues to market them in a positive manner.
“Unbeknownst to consumers, however, Defendant’s Product systematically fails to meet its advertised functions, including, but not limited, to, “crushing ice” or any other solid food item,” the BlendJet class action states.
Figueroa and Joseph want to represent a nationwide class and New York subclass of persons who, during the maximum period of time permitted by law, purchased a BlendJet2 blender for personal, family or household purposes.
‘Shoddy manufacturing’ to blame for allegedly defective BlendJet2 blenders, class action says
Figueroa and Joseph claim the alleged defect with the BlendJet2 blenders is due to “common conduct and shoddy manufacturing” on behalf of BlendJet.
“Defendant’s misleading and deceptive practices proximately caused harm to Plaintiff and the proposed class members who suffered an injury in fact and lost money or property as a result of Defendant’s deceptive conduct,” the BlendJet class action states.
Figueroa and Joseph claim BlendJet is guilty of breach of express and implied warranties, and of violating state consumer protection statutes and New York General Business Law.
The plaintiffs are demanding a jury trial and requesting an award of compensatory, statutory and punitive damages for themselves and all class members.
In another case involving blenders, Nutribullet agreed to pay $10 million in May 2022 to resolve claims that some of its blenders are prone to overheating.

My daughter received a blendjet 2 from my other daughter for Christmas in 2023. We followed the recall requirements. We have emailed several times. We tried to call, never got through. My daughters should be compensated for this blender . BlendJet should not still be selling new product without repaying those that purchased from them. All new money should be going to the people that previously paid them. They should not have been selling this product after injuries occurred.
