Buffalo Wild Wings chicken wings class action lawsuit overview:
- Who: Aimen Halim filed a class action lawsuit against Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. and Inspire Brands Inc.
- Why: Halim claims Buffalo Wild Wings falsely advertises that its boneless wing products contain chicken wing meat.
- Where: The class action lawsuit was filed in Illinois federal court.
Buffalo Wild Wings falsely advertises the contents of its boneless chicken wing products, a new class action lawsuit alleges.
Plaintiff Aimen Halim claims Buffalo Wild Wings’ customers are misled into believing its boneless wing products are composed entirely of chicken-wing meat when they actually are made with deep-fried chicken breast meat.
Halim argues the Buffalo Wild Wings Boneless Wing products are “more akin, in composition, to a chicken nugget rather than a chicken wing.”
“This clear-cut case of false advertising should not be permitted, as consumers should be able to rely on the plain meaning of a product’s name and receive what they are promised,” the class action states.
Halim wants to represent a nationwide class and Illinois class of consumers who have purchased any of Buffalo Wild Wings’ boneless wing products.
Buffalo Wild Wings ‘well aware’ its boneless wing product does not contain chicken wing meat
Buffalo Wild Wings is “well aware” of the fact that its boneless wing products are allegedly not composed of chicken-wing meat, the class action alleges.
Halim argues consumers, meanwhile, “value actual wings,” and that Buffalo Wild Wings has no reason to mislead them other than “to promote a cheaper product along with its actual chicken wings.”
“Had Plaintiff and other consumers known that the Products are not actually chicken wings, they would have paid less for them, or would not have purchased them at all,” the class action states.
Halim claims Buffalo Wild Wings is guilty of unjust enrichment, common law fraud and breach of express warranty, and of violating the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.
Plaintiff is demanding a jury trial and requesting declaratory and injunctive relief along with an award of economic, monetary, actual, consequential, compensatory, punitive and treble damages for himself and all class members.
A consumer filed a separate class action lawsuit against the company last year, arguing the company added hidden fees to customers’ takeout orders.

Yes, do purchase Buffalo 🐃 Wild Wild Wings, with my preference of thebregugular bone-wings – but on my past few orders, when opened it was revealed that their bone-less entry was arbitrarily included. I’m not certain why this mistake in orders had recently occurred, because they’d had my purchase history in their database, including my name, address and private telephone number. I want to receive what I’ve pre-paid for each time. So, add me to this classaction case.
Thanks.
