Buffalo Wild Wings chicken wings class action lawsuit overview:ย

  • Who: Aimen Halim filed a class action lawsuit against Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. and Inspire Brands Inc.ย
  • Why: Halim claims Buffalo Wild Wings falsely advertises that its boneless wing products contain chicken wing meat.ย
  • Where: The class action lawsuit was filed in Illinois federal court.ย

Buffalo Wild Wings falsely advertises the contents of its boneless chicken wing products, a new class action lawsuit alleges.ย

Plaintiff Aimen Halim claims Buffalo Wild Wingsโ€™ customers are misled into believing its boneless wing products are composed entirely of chicken-wing meat when they actually are made with deep-fried chicken breast meat.ย

Halim argues the Buffalo Wild Wings Boneless Wing products are โ€œmore akin, in composition, to a chicken nugget rather than a chicken wing.โ€ย

โ€œThis clear-cut case of false advertising should not be permitted, as consumers should be able to rely on the plain meaning of a productโ€™s name and receive what they are promised,โ€ the class action states.ย

Halim wants to represent a nationwide class and Illinois class of consumers who have purchased any of Buffalo Wild Wingsโ€™ boneless wing products.ย

Buffalo Wild Wings โ€˜well awareโ€™ its boneless wing product does not contain chicken wing meat

Buffalo Wild Wings is โ€œwell awareโ€ of the fact that its boneless wing products are allegedly not composed of chicken-wing meat, the class action alleges.ย

Halim argues consumers, meanwhile, โ€œvalue actual wings,โ€ and that Buffalo Wild Wings has no reason to mislead them other than โ€œto promote a cheaper product along with its actual chicken wings.โ€ย

โ€œHad Plaintiff and other consumers known that the Products are not actually chicken wings, they would have paid less for them, or would not have purchased them at all,โ€ the class action states.ย

Halim claims Buffalo Wild Wings is guilty of unjust enrichment, common law fraud and breach of express warranty, and of violating the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.ย

Plaintiff is demanding a jury trial and requesting declaratory and injunctive relief along with an award of economic, monetary, actual, consequential, compensatory, punitive and treble damages for himself and all class members.ย

A consumer filed a separate class action lawsuit against the company last year, arguing the company added hidden fees to customersโ€™ takeout orders.ย

Yes Iโ€™ve had them as well. I donโ€™t know how all the restaurants that claim to sell boneless wings have gotten a way with this FANTASTIC RIP OFF LIE FOR YEARS!! All of the restaurants claiming to sell boneless wings are BOLD FACED LIARS! A wing consists of a tip, drummete and a flat and have bones. There is no such animal as a boneless wing. What these LIARS are claiming to be boneless wings are nothing but breaded pieces of breast meat. Also the restaurants selling wings LYING AGAIN stating they are wings, ARENT, they are split wings NOT WINGS but thatโ€™s what the LIARS sell them as. I WANT TO SUE THE LIARS FOR THEIR DECEITFUL PRACTICES. That includes all restaurants that do it and bars. THEY ALL NEED TO BE SUED FOR LYING TO CUSTOMERS. IVE NEVER SEEN A CHICKEN WITH SPLIT WINGS AND WINGS MADE FROM BREAST MEAT. How can I start my lawsuit?
