Keurig has agreed to pay $31 million to resolve claims it violated antitrust laws by fixing the price of its Keurig K-Cup products.
The settlement benefits individuals who purchased Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs from retailers other than Keurig between Sept. 7, 2010, and Aug. 14, 2020, in all states other than Mississippi and Rhode Island; between March 24, 2011, and Aug. 14, 2020, in Mississippi; or between July 15, 2013, and Aug. 14, 2020, in Rhode Island.
Claims against Keurig were consolidated in June 2014. According to the plaintiffs in the eight consolidated class action lawsuits, Keurig violated antitrust laws in order to monopolize the market for single-serve coffee pods. This monopoly allegedly allowed the company to artificially fix the price of Keurig K-Cup products — subjecting consumers to financial strain that wouldn’t exist in a healthy market.
In December 2017, these claims were preserved by a federal judge who denied the company’s motion for dismissal.
Keurig has not admitted any wrongdoing in the case but has agreed to a $31 million Keurig K-Cup class action settlement. The settlement provides reimbursement for Keurig K-Cup purchases in the form of cash payments. Reimbursement rates will vary from 0.75% to 100% depending on the state the purchase was made in and whether proof of purchase was submitted with a claim.
In order to benefit from the settlement, Class Members must file a valid claim form by July 15, 2021. Proof of purchase of Keurig K-Cup purchases and information about these purchases (number of K-Cups purchased, price paid, state where purchase took place, brand name, etc.) is required to validate claims.
The deadline for exclusion is May 14, 2021. The deadline for objection is May 17, 2021. The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for June 4, 2021.
Who’s Eligible
Individuals who purchased Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs from retailers other than Keurig:
- between Sept. 7, 2010, and Aug. 14, 2020, in all states other than Mississippi and Rhode Island,

I’ve bought these for absolute years and I find this more than a little unfair that proof of purchase is needed. I do not hoard Target and Walmart receipts for up to 10 years! I’ve also ordered dozens of times online… things arrive without receipts. I don’t know how honest people who don’t happen to be hoarders can get any help with class actions that have requirements like this. :-( In the past Amazon alerted me that something I bought there has a lawsuit but not this time.

This is bs nobody keeps receipts that far back thinking the company is overcharging them, and 10 years later they may need the receipts to get a refund for a class action suit!!! It’s bull cause I was so frustrated having all these kcups I Couldn’t use. i ended up cutting out the edge of a user kcup I could Use in the machine and placed it on the ones I couldn’t. Question: on the form “Number of Keurig K-Cup Portion Packs Purchased” is this asking how many k-cups came in the box? example 24 count box equaling 24? Or is the form asking how many boxes regardless of the containing count. example i bought 2 boxes of 24 count k cups equating to 2.

If you buy your Kcups from Sams or other places like that, you can look up your receipts on their website. I was able to find receipts for the last 8 years. Hope this helps.

I received my Keurig K-Cup coffee maker in December 25, 1911 and have always bought the Green Mountain Coffee K-cups from Walmart and always purchased the 18 serving packages. Now I buy them from International Blends website and always buy the 100 pack size because I can get them cheaper with free delivery. I don’t know anyone who keeps grocery receipts. Receipts? That’s ridiculous! I’ve had a total of 5 different Keurig since 2014 and have purchased hundreds of Keurig K-cups. I don’t save these kind of receipts!
I’m a committed coffee drinker like most here in the seattle area and I have owned a Kurig coffee machine now for at least 4 years, as the idea of a single serve coffee maker best suits my household for one adult with children! Though I have not saved my receipts for all my coffee purchases- or any actually not thinking they would be needed. Am I still eligible for this?
I’m taking pics of all my receipts that I can find, they can go thru them, I probably don’t even have receipts of the broken Keurig in the garage and the Keurig at the office and the Keurig in my kitchen that’s three in all ever since the Keurig is come out I’ve been purchasing K cups so yes this is ridiculous that we have to submit receipts again you’re right Keurig does win but I am winning as well
I feel bad about suing someone because everything I read this report I fall into a category where I could make a claim. If I had saved all my receipts since 2010, I’d have hundreds of thousands to go through! Since I did not save any, I guess Keurig is laughing at me. My wife and I each drink at least ten cups a week, I hope they have enjoyed screwing me.

So Keurig wins. Who saves proofs of purchase longer than a few weeks, months, or at all? So even though I was harmed in this price-fixing deal, I get nothing just because I didn’t save my receipts when I bought Keurig K-Cups. I’m sure Keurig knows exactly what they have agreed to. Nothing. You’ll never catch me buying any Keurig products again. There are many other k-cup coffee makers on the market and a gazillion k-cup brands. I’ll be buying those from now on.

I’m a user of these products daily but the only proof is my machine in my kitchen. Or the KCup holder I keep stocked with different brands and flavors.
So it looks as if I should start saving my receipts forever. I have purchased many Keurig K-Cups and other brands over the years. I’m on my second Keurig machine.I don’t think I’ll see anything from this class action because I don’t save every single receipt after I go to a grocery store. Having a family I would have one room dedicated to being full of receipts which I could probably never find the right ones when needed even if I had saved all of my receipts

I have roughly 135 receipts totalling almost 2 thousand dollars. How do i submit all of those???
My best guess is to tape them to a piece of paper, scan them into a computer, save them as various files, then you’d be able to upload them with your claim form. Otherwise you’d have to take pictures with a cellphone and create files that way.
