Drinkworks Reimbursement Program Overview:

  • Who: Drinkworks has announced a reimbursement program for consumers who own its home bar system machines.
  • Why: The reimbursement program comes following Drinkworks’ announcement that it is ceasing its business operations and thus will no longer be able to service or replace the machines.
  • Where: Consumers nationwide can participate in the reimbursement program.

Consumers with Drinkworks machines may be eligible for reimbursement following the company’s December announcement that it is ceasing its operations.

“Thank you for being part of our passionate Drinkworks community,” the company said in its announcement. “On Dec. 15, 2021, we made the difficult decision to close Drinkworks with sales of Drinkmaker machines ceasing immediately.”

Drinkworks, which sold cocktail pods, C02 and accessories, along with home bar system machines, said the reimbursements are being offered since it will no longer be able to replace or service the machines.

Consumers will have until Feb. 28 to file a claim for reimbursement, which can be done online. Reimbursement can not be achieved by bringing the machine back to a retail location, Drinkworks warned.

The only individuals who are automatically excluded from being able to receive reimbursement are those who were gifted the machines through their employment with Drinkworks or through marketing or public relations campaigns, according to the company.

Cocktail Pods Will Remain On Sale Through March 31

Consumers will only be eligible to receive reimbursements on the machines, according to the company, which says sales of its cocktail pods will remain available through March 31 or while supplies last.

Drinkworks says it has voided the warranty on the machines because it is offering reimbursement and will no longer be able to service them. Consumers who were previously given a second machine thanks to a warranty will only be eligible for reimbursement on one machine, the company said.

Consumers will be able to keep their machines if they choose, or they can recycle for free through a prepaid mail back program being conducted by Drinkworks.

Individuals with questions or concerns about the reimbursement program are encouraged to contact Drinkworks directly by email at [email protected] or phone at 1-855-374-6596.

Keurig, another company that incorporates drink pods into its product, was the target of a class action lawsuit in 2018 that argued it falsely advertised some of its K-Cup single-serving coffee pods as being recyclable

The plaintiff in the case, a California woman named Kathleen Smith, argued that Keurig Green Mountain K-Cup pods were too small to be recycled despite labeling stating they could be.

  1. Aly Breeze says:

……I ALSO found that Keurig partnered with Anheuser-Busch InBev for the Drinkworks Home Bar, so they were both owners of the now defunct Drinkworks by Keurig.

  2. Aly Breeze says:

I am in the same boat as all of you. I just found out as well. I had the app and everything and no-one ever notified me. I had even called them before to send me recycle bags, etc back when they were still operating. There should definitely be a class action suit! There have to be hundreds of thousands of people who would be able to be reimbursed. I also spent time on the phone with Keurig customer service and they have literally rid themselves of any liability or assistance for those of us just now finding out. I don’t know what we as the jipped community who paid for this machine can do :(

  3. LaKynn K McDonald says:

We are in the same boat. I called today and was just given a website that doesn’t even exist anymore. I would be interested in filing a claim.

  4. Deb Arroyal says:

What a rip off. How can we start a class action lawsuit? I also just found out. I had been fully stocked and just now needed new pods. Went to a store where they told me no one has any more and the machine is discontinued.

  5. Brooke says:

I filed a drinkworks claim, I have the confirmation email and the payment verification email (whatever that is). But NO REFUND!! My mother and sister also filed claims on their machines, have verification emails and nothing! So if you missed the deadline don’t worry I don’t think they paid anyone back anyways.

    1. Yol says:

Is it too late to file. I literally just found out.

      1. Debbi kinney says:

I just found out that Drinkworks went out of business, when I went to order more pods. So here I sit with a useless machine. They should have notified people of this, now it is too late to talk to anyone about being refunded.

        1. Tina Fisher says:

Exactly! When I called the one 800 number I’m getting Colgate and when I went on the website to fill out whatever it was, they were offering for a return. It did not exist any longer. I’m all about a class action lawsuit. This is ridiculous. We all have expensive machines in our homes we cannot use.

    2. Kristy Ferreira says:

Same! I filed the claim and have the emails to prove it yet I NEVER received my reimbursement. After February they shut down their customer service email and phone number so there is no one to contact! It’s very frustrating to just have this $300 machine sitting useless. My plan was to use the reimbursement to purchase the bartisian machine but I never got the reimbursement like many other drinkworks customers. I even contacted Keurig as they are the company who is behind drinkworks and received a response that there is nothing they can do for me and then they just ignored any further emails I had sent them. I want my reimbursement!

  6. S M GOWIN says:

I bought the Drinkworks machine at a charity auction for $300. Have not opened the box yet, but the Auction chair has informed me that the pods are not available, and the company had given rebates for the machines. Naturally, I was not given any notice because I didn’t purchase from a store. Now I just have a very large White Elephant on my hands.

  7. Erika Moore says:

I have a Keurig drink machine and have had trouble finding pods all along. I just found out today that the machine and pods are no longer being produced. This is very disappointing I looked forward to using this for the holidays. I was not notified or aware that the company was going out of business and the products were no longer being produced and now I realize it is past time for me to do anything about it. Is there something that can be done about this? Would sure like a reinbursrment of some kind This was an expensive item

  8. Lianne Owens says:

    I have Drinkworks machine

    1. dennis millward says:

I did not use it much then when I was trying to buy pods. I find out the shut down.

  9. Vicky Silvermintz says:

This is horrible business! As many other customers, I was fully stocked until now and went to grab more only to find out there are NO MORE! I have. this machine I paid $300 which is entirely useless. You could of at least keep making the pods for the ones who already purchased this expensive machine, beyond disappointing.

  10. Kimberly Wilson says:

I’m beyond annoyed! I went to order cleaning tablets and C02 only to find out that the products and machine is discontinued. When contacting the company they basically told me it was nothing that I can do. She explained it was discontinued and I had to make a claim I February 2022. I wasn’t notified of them discontinuing the product. I was fully stocked so now that I need items is when I find this out.
