Drinkworks Reimbursement Program Overview:

  • Who: Drinkworks has announced a reimbursement program for consumers who own its home bar system machines.
  • Why: The reimbursement program comes following Drinkworks’ announcement that it is ceasing its business operations and thus will no longer be able to service or replace the machines.
  • Where: Consumers nationwide can participate in the reimbursement program.

Consumers with Drinkworks machines may be eligible for reimbursement following the company’s December announcement that it is ceasing its operations.

“Thank you for being part of our passionate Drinkworks community,” the company said in its announcement. “On Dec. 15, 2021, we made the difficult decision to close Drinkworks with sales of Drinkmaker machines ceasing immediately.”

Drinkworks, which sold cocktail pods, C02 and accessories, along with home bar system machines, said the reimbursements are being offered since it will no longer be able to replace or service the machines.

Consumers will have until Feb. 28 to file a claim for reimbursement, which can be done online. Reimbursement can not be achieved by bringing the machine back to a retail location, Drinkworks warned.

The only individuals who are automatically excluded from being able to receive reimbursement are those who were gifted the machines through their employment with Drinkworks or through marketing or public relations campaigns, according to the company.

Cocktail Pods Will Remain On Sale Through March 31

Consumers will only be eligible to receive reimbursements on the machines, according to the company, which says sales of its cocktail pods will remain available through March 31 or while supplies last.

Drinkworks says it has voided the warranty on the machines because it is offering reimbursement and will no longer be able to service them. Consumers who were previously given a second machine thanks to a warranty will only be eligible for reimbursement on one machine, the company said.

Consumers will be able to keep their machines if they choose, or they can recycle for free through a prepaid mail back program being conducted by Drinkworks.

Individuals with questions or concerns about the reimbursement program are encouraged to contact Drinkworks directly by email at [email protected] or phone at 1-855-374-6596.

Keurig, another company that incorporates drink pods into its product, was the target of a class action lawsuit in 2018 that argued it falsely advertised some of its K-Cup single-serving coffee pods as being recyclable

The plaintiff in the case, a California woman named Kathleen Smith, argued that Keurig Green Mountain K-Cup pods were too small to be recycled despite labeling stating they could be.

This is wrong! I never received a Courtesy email letting me know of the situation! I have tried to contact keurig and drink works about the refund and it’s all a joke.

  2. Jamie Hammonds says:

I just found out from my neighbor that the product was discontinued. I’d like to be reimbursed for the machine even though the deadline has passed as there was no direct communication that the product was discontinued. A two month window is ridiculous.

  3. Krista C says:

I purchased two! One for myself and one for my brother. I only found out because I had pulled it out for the holiday weekend and getting ready for summer!! I’ve call and emailed with no response! Ridiculous!

  4. Nathan J. Wilson says:

I just took my machine out of storage to use of the holiday weekend for 4th of July and noticed if was leaking from the bottom of the machine. I try to call customer support and got a disconnected number. I then called Keurig directly and got another number to call, website to visit and email to contact All of these contacts are disconnected. It looks like drinkworks is quickly shutting down business without giving customers a chance to get their money back. Since I ordered the device directly from the company they had my information to notify me of the discontinuance of the machine and sent me my money back. It also troubling that I have multiple pods that are useless to me now since my machine is no longer working. I do not wish a law suit on anyone, but I see that this company might be setting themselves up for a class action law suit.

  5. Fae says:

It’s not fair! I’ve only used it 3 times and now it’s useless. I had no idea until I try to get a new pod. They should give us a refund or a store credit at least.

  6. Jessica says:

Incredibly shady. Never received any notice from Drinkworks about them going out of business, up through January they were even advertising their products being on sale trying to get people to buy. When I contacted Keurig they kept trying to push me to email or call Drinksworks even though I kept telling them that the website and phone number for them is inactive. Never shopping with AB or Keurig again.

  7. Cheryl Belton says:

I purchased my machine during the pandemic and found out the company decided to stop producing replacement parts and pods on the Drinkworks website as I was placing an order for pods. I completed the reimbursement contract in a timely manner and still have not received my reimbursement as well. I think it’s very shady for Drinkworks to leave the customers out of the loop about the entire process I loved my machine but I love my money more. DRINKWORKS DO RIGHT BY YOUR CUSTOMERS.

  8. Brian Gottshall says:

I filled out all paperwork required for a refund, even to the point of providing my Venmo info for the anticipated refund. I have not been refunded. I was able to get through to a person once in March saying it was going to be sent I. April. The phone number and website are now shutdown and the only contact info available has my emails go unanswered.

  9. P Fisher says:

    Well, that was short lived!!!

  10. Lisa Hastings says:

I had no idea until l tried to purchase more pods. My daughter also has one . I fill we should also be entitled to refund
