Drinkworks Reimbursement Program Overview:

  • Who: Drinkworks has announced a reimbursement program for consumers who own its home bar system machines.
  • Why: The reimbursement program comes following Drinkworks’ announcement that it is ceasing its business operations and thus will no longer be able to service or replace the machines.
  • Where: Consumers nationwide can participate in the reimbursement program.

Consumers with Drinkworks machines may be eligible for reimbursement following the company’s December announcement that it is ceasing its operations.

“Thank you for being part of our passionate Drinkworks community,” the company said in its announcement. “On Dec. 15, 2021, we made the difficult decision to close Drinkworks with sales of Drinkmaker machines ceasing immediately.”

Drinkworks, which sold cocktail pods, C02 and accessories, along with home bar system machines, said the reimbursements are being offered since it will no longer be able to replace or service the machines.

Consumers will have until Feb. 28 to file a claim for reimbursement, which can be done online. Reimbursement can not be achieved by bringing the machine back to a retail location, Drinkworks warned.

The only individuals who are automatically excluded from being able to receive reimbursement are those who were gifted the machines through their employment with Drinkworks or through marketing or public relations campaigns, according to the company.

Cocktail Pods Will Remain On Sale Through March 31

Consumers will only be eligible to receive reimbursements on the machines, according to the company, which says sales of its cocktail pods will remain available through March 31 or while supplies last.

Drinkworks says it has voided the warranty on the machines because it is offering reimbursement and will no longer be able to service them. Consumers who were previously given a second machine thanks to a warranty will only be eligible for reimbursement on one machine, the company said.

Consumers will be able to keep their machines if they choose, or they can recycle for free through a prepaid mail back program being conducted by Drinkworks.

Individuals with questions or concerns about the reimbursement program are encouraged to contact Drinkworks directly by email at [email protected] or phone at 1-855-374-6596.

Keurig, another company that incorporates drink pods into its product, was the target of a class action lawsuit in 2018 that argued it falsely advertised some of its K-Cup single-serving coffee pods as being recyclable

The plaintiff in the case, a California woman named Kathleen Smith, argued that Keurig Green Mountain K-Cup pods were too small to be recycled despite labeling stating they could be.

I own one. Just found out it has been discontinued when I went to order more pods. Reimbursement window was less than two months? What a crock of crap. I registered mine when I bought it. Never received an email or notice about any of this.

You would think Keurig would hand the pod rights over to someone else to manufacture for those of us who still have an interest; especially if they were no longer interested.

Please include me in this class action suit.

  2. Billy Wilson says:

My machine was registered. It in fact it is a replacement straight from Drinkworks because the original one had a Co2 sealing issue. So they had my email and I check my email regularly, I have not received notice about any of this. Guess I’ll have to wait for the class action against Keurig too.

  3. E. Kane says:

My two sons each received a Drinkworks machine for Christmas. After they learned that the machines were being discontinued, they applied for reimbursement. They submitted all of the necessary information and were given claim numbers after receiving feedback that the claims were successfully submitted. Payments were never made. Numerous calls were made to the number stated on the Reimbursement website (Kroll) but they make it impossible to leave a voicemail as is stated in the recorded message. They also have ignored several attempts of contacting them by submitting the contact form that is on the website. Very frustrating!

  4. Anthony Givens says:

This reimbursement program is straight BS!! I bought the machine for a christmas gift in Dec. 2021 and days later they discontinued them. Submitted all of the necessary paperwork that Reimbursement Program asked for. Never received any correspondence . Called dozens of times (never received a call back) and sent dozens of emails (no response). Called Kroll (Company responsible for reimbursement program), 55 East 52nd Street 17 Fl New York NY 10055 +1 212 593 1000 and they essentially took my info, said someone would call me back. That was a week ago and Im still waiting for a call back. Called Kroll a second time and was given the same BS phone number that no one ever answers.

  6. Tina says:

I own two of these useless machines and was never notified about refunds

  7. Carrie Reveal says:

This is crap. My machine was registered. I checked my email, I never received notice about this. Now I own a $350 brick. They kept this as quiet as they could to avoid as many refunds as they could. They should of also sent something in the US mail. This should be a class action.

    1. Maria Valderrama says:

I have two of these machines and just found out that the product was discontinued. I as well had both machines registered and had even called for help several times so they had all my contact information add me to the lawsuit. Please include me in the class action suit.

  8. KImberly Krantz says:

I’ve filed for a refund and been back and forth with the company RE a verification code which I never got and they haven’t been able to provide for me. Now I have an email with a verification code but can’t find the original email to enter it. Please keep me informed of any actions taken as it seems all I’ve gotten was passed along with no refund issued.

  9. Aretha Maxwell says:

A friend of mine just mentioned to me that Drinkworks was out of business. And I NEVER heard a word about it! My daughter bought this for me for Mother’s Day last year and I have only had a chance to use it a few times. And it appears that I also missed out on buying new pods before they stopped selling those and of March. I would love to get the money back so I could get a Bartisan and still entertain. If there is a class suit I would like to join please and thanks.

  10. Tara Finning says:

I am now stuck with this incredibly expensive paperweight because, as others have mentioned, the notification of the return program was non-existent.
