Knix, maker of period panties and other garments, agreed to a $1.4 million marketing class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that its period underwear contains dangerous per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which have been linked to serious health concerns.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased Knix products between Jan. 1, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2022.
According to the class action lawsuit, Knix period underwear products contain dangerous PFAS chemicals despite the manufacturer’s marketing that the panties are free of toxic chemicals. PFAS chemicals have been linked to serious health problems such as birth complications, cancers and more.
Knix is a brand of period panties.
Knix hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $1.4 million settlement to resolve the PFAS class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the settlement, class members can receive up to $5.30 for each Knix product they purchased, up to a maximum payment of $15.90. Each class member’s claim form will indicate whether Knix has a record of their purchase or if they need to provide proof of purchase.
As part of the settlement, Knix has also agreed to implement increased PFAS testing for two years. The company also agreed to remove references on its website to Knix products being PFAS-free, toxic chemical-free or fluorine-free.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is March 11, 2024.
The final approval hearing for the Knix marketing settlement is scheduled for April 23, 2024.
To receive benefits under the Knix underwear settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form by March 11, 2024.

I ordered online. So my details would be in there system. It’s horrible that the onus is on the victims to prove. I didn’t even know this was going on and the deadline is past. Not happy
Those leaving comments about what to do etc. or messaging. If you would have taken the time to read, you would have seen that this is closed. This is just a page that is nice enough to put these together, they can’t help you and over explaining and stories won’t get you anything. Yes, you may be able to read (if you even did that)but your comprehension is off.
any news?
I have left 2 messages to have a legal advocate call me
re: a claim. What’s with this proof w/receipt ?.?. About ?

Settlement.
I never save my receipts. I throw them away. What do I do now? I have a heavy period endometriosis so I’m buying them a lot.
I purchased a pair through my health card from CVS I do not have receipt
I got my 3 girls a pack a price and no I didn’t keep my receipt, when you get the right size you don’t need the receipt, but who’s to say the makers made them with something to mess your body up. I am still putting in my claim forms. It’s not fair about the receipt so give the consumers a statement on package lettings us know this product might break your body out some kind of was. This is what happens when you don’t use American made products.
