Organix class action lawsuit settlement

Details on how to file a claim for the $6.5 million Organix class action lawsuit settlement reached in August are now available. If you purchased Organix hair care and skin care products at any time between October 25, 2008, and October 10, 2013, you may be eligible to claim up to $28 cash from the class action settlement. Eligible Organix products include but are not limited to Organix Coconut Milk, Organix Macadamia Oil, Organix Cocoa Butter, Oganix Brazilian Keratin Therapy, Organix Moroccan Argan Oil, and more.

If approved, the Organix settlement will resolve a 2012 class action lawsuit (Golloher v. Todd Christopher) that alleges the packaging and labels of certain Organix hair and skin products misled consumers into believing the products were wholly organic. The maker of the products, Todd Christopher International Inc. (doing business as Vogue International), denies the allegations but has agreed to refund consumers through a class action settlement to avoid burdensome and costly litigation.

Under the terms of the Organix class action settlement, Vogue International has agreed to pay Class Members $4 for each Organix product they purchased, up to a maximum of $28. Vogue is also prohibited from manufacturing skin care and hair care products under the Organix brand. The class action settlement will also prohibit the company from using the term “organic” on a product label unless at least 70 percent of its ingredients are organically produced.

  4. Moneisha Thomas says:

When I first purchased the product, I assumed it was organic considering its called “Organix”. When I used the shampoo and conditioner I noticed my hair became very dry and stiff. One day I checked the ingredients and it contained alcohol which is drying and damaging to the hair.

  5. Bea says:

I have used this product before. I will never use it again…never. I also filed a claim, everyone should.

  6. Tammy Pierce says:

I tried the coconut, the Moroccan Oil, and the Pink one which ever one that one is Japanese Blossom or something like that and nothing! So I filed a claim! I think it’s only fair because other products I’ve tried that were organic with Moroccan Oil did wonders for my hair, so that lead me to believe that no Organic (organic) !!!!! When a company says something , they need to stand behind their word. Like my husband says,” a man is only as good as his hand shake!” That was in the day of honesty is the best policy and that is not true any more!!!!

  7. diana says:

  10. Marlene Walker says:

I just read this claim and am shocked to find that the Coconut Milk product is not organic which I thought that it was. I have been using this product for months now and am so disappointed. In fact, I just used it last night!
