Property owners whose homes or rental units contain yellow brass plumbing components made by EZ-Flo International could get cash from a Brasscraft EZ-Flo potable water plumbing system class action lawsuit settlement.
Plaintiffs alleged in the Brasscraft EZ-Flo class action lawsuit that a potable water plumbing system sold by the company contained defects that resulted in damage.
The plaintiffs claimed that the yellow brass EZ-Flo potable water plumbing system was made of inferior material causing leaks.
Under the terms of the Brasscraft EZ-Flo class action settlement, EZ-Flo does not admit any wrongdoing nor do they admit that their products, that included stop valves, connectors and fittings, were poorly constructed or violated any laws or codes.
However, the company has agreed to pay property owners with Brasscraft EZ-Flo potable water plumbing systems for damage, leaks, water flow issues, and inoperable valves.
Brasscraft EZ-Flo lawsuit settlement benefits
Class Members, who include homeowners with the potable water plumbing system, may make several types of claims under the terms of the Brasscraft EZ-Flo class action settlement:
- Exterior Meringue Deposit claims may be made for white or green zinc oxide deposits or other dezincification that occurred within 10 years after the potable water system was manufactured.
- Leaks may be claimed if they occurred as a result of dezincification within 10 years of when the product was made and if the leak produces at least six drops per hour.
- Occlusion may be covered by the Brasscraft EZ-Flo class action settlement if there was any reduction in water flow due to the build-up of zinc oxide.
- Inoperable Valves may be claimed if the Brasscraft EZ-Flo water valve cannot be opened or closed because of residue build-up.
Under the terms of the Brasscraft EZ-Flo class action settlement, EZ-Flo has agreed to pay for replacements and for damage caused by leaks.

Add me – Huge leak under my kitchen sink which went undetected and damaged my kitchen floor, leaked through to my basement causing water damage (mold). Affected an electrical fixture / wiring, and a portion of the basement ceiling which are all located directly, under the kitchen sink!
