California Synapse Magazine Auto Renewal Class Action Settlement

Top Class Actions viewers are getting checks in the mail from the California Synapse magazine auto renewal class action settlement worth as much as $100.62.

A $4.9 million settlement was reached that ended claims that Synapse Magazine engaged in an auto renewal scheme. According to customers, Synapse Group charged consumers’ credit and debit cards without their knowledge or consent.

Allegedly, consumers were not presented with the terms of the Synapse magazine auto renewal policy in a clear and conspicuous manner.

The deadline to file a claim was May 3, 2019.

The California Synapse Magazine Auto Renewal Class Action Lawsuit is Cruz v. Synapse Group Inc., et al., Case No. 37-2018-00032240-CU-MC-CTL, in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Diego.

One Nevada Credit Union FCRA Class Action Settlement

Top Class Actions viewers also report receiving checks for the One Nevada Credit Union FCRA class action settlement worth as much as $21.31.

One Nevada Credit Union reached a $600,000 settlement deal to end claims that they wrongfully accessed consumer credit reports. Allegedly, the company violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

This reportedly unlawful accessing of credit reports possibly affected people who were credit union members on or after Sept. 13, 2011.

The deadline to file a claim was Jan. 24, 219.

Class Members were represented by Abbas Kazerounian and Michael Kind of Kazerouni Law Group, and by David H. Krieger of Haines & Krieger LLC.

The One Nevada Credit Union FCRA Class Action Lawsuit is Smith v. One Nevada Credit Union, Case No. 2:16-cv-02156-GMN-NJK, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.

Metagenics Medical Food Class Action Settlement

Top Class Actions viewers are getting checks in the mail from the Metagenics medical food class action settlement worth as much as $21.70.

These settlement checks are part of a $1.3 million settlement. This Metagenics class action settlement resolves claim that Metagenics falsely advertises their food products as being able to treat medical conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular problems, fatigue, and bowel problems.

The deadline to file a claim passed on April 26, 2019.

    Have been denied cashing at my bank Walmart Refused the check my mobil account said can not verify this check please dont attempt again. It will not be reviewed I was laughed at when. I went to check cashing place .this is not the first time either should there be a class action for invalid checks .just asking

      Same. Apparently the numbers don’t align with the check reader machines to allow them to scan it and cash it. Two checks from same check printer, different settlements. One went through, this one didn’t.

      If you have a bank account with an ATM card just put it in ATM machine ..

        Walmart will cash them also as long as they can read the check and your name matches the check. The little checks are more annoying to cash. I just took it to my bank they cashed it with no problem then I put in ATM in my account.
