Update from the President of TCAHoly cow! It’s already the middle of July! NUTS! I’ve been truly blessed and have been working remotely from the beautiful Catskills in upstate New York at my wife’s parent’s summer home. I’m only 2.5 hours from the City or airport if I need to meet with clients. My beautiful bride and children have loved it as well. My wife gets help from her parents while I work and we end the day in the cool lake. Highs in the 80s. Now my parents just need to build their house in Maine and we’ll be set all summer ;) Sadly, we’re heading home on Saturday. Time to get back into the heat of Phoenix! Ugh, I’m not looking forward to it but it will be good to be home. Thankfully we missed that terrible dust storm. I’ll be curious to see how the house and backyard looks! Onto funny news. My buddy Allen just told me that Chris Sacca, one of the most successful angel investors in Silicon Valley, started a class action related website back in the 90s that failed. He’s an investor in Twitter, former Google guy, etc. It’s crazy to think that I made something work that he couldn’t. Granted, we have VERY different business models (sounds like he was mainly mass torts rather than our focus consumer class actions,) but it’s still pretty cool. OK, two last updates. First, we’re going to be sending out two newsletters per month. We’ve been getting feedback that you want MORE so now you get it! Let us know if you like it. Lastly, our mid-July contest is to help ME! I need to know the coolest widget or item you’ve received from a company as a promo item. What made you think “COOL!” I’m going to be ordering some items for upcoming trade shows and want it to be NEAT! If you have an idea for something, or received something super cool, let us know on the Top Class Actions Facebook page. You’ll see a post asking for help, leave your advice! I’ll choose one or two that I think are cool. They’ll win $100. Guidelines, it must be possible to order (it can’t just be an idea, it must be produced somewhere), and under $15 per item. Bonus points if it can be branded Top Class Actions/Legafi or our logo. Enjoy the rest of the month! Talk to you in a few weeks! Warm Regards, Scott Hardy President |
