TracFone Unlimited Data Plan Settlement Gets Final Approval A California federal judge has given final approval to a $40 million class action settlement, resolving claims that TracFone Wireless Inc. falsely advertised its unlimited data plan and “throttled” data usage after customers used a certain amount. About 8 million TracFone users may be eligible Class Members of this class action settlement.

 

New Asbestos Mesothelioma Lawsuit Filed in Federal Court A new asbestos mesothelioma lawsuit was recently filed against several companies including ABB Inc., Alfa Laval Inc., Armstrong International Inc. and Crane Co. The asbestos lawsuit alleges a worker was exposed to products containing asbestos while he served in the U.S. Navy and while he worked at various jobs, causing him to develop mesothelioma. He is now suing these companies, alleging they are responsible for his asbestos exposure and subsequent mesothelioma diagnosis.

 

Relacore, Bank of America Settlement Checks in the Mail Consumers who were allegedly misled by false statements about the health supplement Relacore or who received unwanted calls and text messages from Bank of America are reportedly receiving checks in the mail from two separate class action settlements. FDA Panel to Address Essure Birth Control ComplicationsThe U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently announced that it will hold a public hearing to determine if any regulatory actions need to be taken regarding Essure and whether it is a safe and effective permanent birth control method. Update from the President of TCA

 

Good morning everyone! I’m writing this from Montreal where I’m attending a conference with a thousand attorneys. It’s been great connecting with my existing clients and making new ones. I will be happy to head home in the morning though. I really miss my girls!
