A class action lawsuit was reached with iYogi, Inc. to resolve allegations that the technical support company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by calling consumers even if they asked iYogi not to call them again. If you were called by iYogi, you may qualify to benefit from this class action settlement.
This iYogi TCPA class action lawsuit was filed by plaintiffs Vicki Estrada, Patricia Goodman and Kim Williams-Britt, alleging after a iYogi subscription runs out that the technical support company “makes repeated and harassing telephone calls to consumers’ telephones, even in the face of repeated requests to stop calling.”
In addition, the plaintiffs claim that iYogi “also places telemarketing calls to consumers who have never been iYogi customers or otherwise interacted with them,” and these calls were allegedly made without the express consent of the consumers, which the plaintiffs claims is also a violation of the TCPA.
This class action settlement is for anyone who lives in the United States who is a current or former individual iYogi subscriber, who received one or more calls to a cellular telephone made by or on behalf of iYogi’s services from Sept. 23, 2009 through Nov. 18, 2013.
Class Members are set to receive $40 once the iYogi class action settlement is approved by the court. Class Members must file a claim form by Jan. 2, 2016 to participate in the settlement.
iYogi does not admit to any wrongdoing but has agreed to the terms of the class action settlement to avoid the cost and risk of going to trial. This class action settlement was granted preliminary approval on Oct. 6 by U.S. District Judge William B. Shubb.
UPDATE: On April 29, 2016, Top Class Actions readers who submitted timely and valid claims for the iYogi settlement started receiving checks worth as much as $40!

6 thoughts oniYogi TCPA Class Action Settlement
they are at it again.. 10 calls between April 9 2019 and April 17 2019.
I was not aware of the iyogi settlement. I have been with iyogi for over 6 years and still have a two year contract with them that is worthless. Is there anything else I can do or a class action I can become a part of?
I feel your pain. I am just now becoming aware of all that has happened. I dumped so much $ into that so called worthless company. I too have a worthless contract that was supposed to be good through 2/2020! I will regret this one for a long time!
Received a check in IL on 04/30/2016 for $40.
