Plaintiff Nancy S. has initiated a truck accident lawsuit as a result of injuries sustained by a minor for whom she is the natural parent and guardian. This lawsuit was filed against the individual driver and V3 Transportation LLC, parties that she says are responsible for the injuries sustained when the victim was rear ended by a semi truck.
The plaintiff and the minor are residents and citizens of York County, S.C. and say they were rear ended by a semi truck driven by a resident of Georgia.
The truck accident lawsuit claims that on Sept. 3, 2016, plaintiff Nancy S. was the operator and driver of a Ford SUV in which the minor was a passenger. The semi truck lawsuit says that the plaintiff and minor were traveling south on Interstate 77 near Richland County, South Carolina.
The semi truck lawsuit says that the individual driver defendant was operating a 2011 tractor trailer freight vehicle and was also traveling south on Interstate 77 at the time of the accident near Richland County. The vehicle was allegedly owned or rented by defendant, V3 Transportation LLC, and used by the driver with the consent of that company due to his role as an employee.
The plaintiffs say that the individual driver was responsible for the injuries sustained by the minor and plaintiff when they were rear ended by a semi truck, because he was operating the vehicle too fast for conditions.
He struck the back of the plaintiff’s vehicle, causing severe damage and crushing the back of the SUV, according to the truck accident lawsuit. The complaint says the minor was a front seat passenger at the time that the car was rear ended by a semi truck. The plaintiffs allege in their semi truck lawsuit that they were pushed off the road and that both of them were severely injured.
Nancy says she incurred joint strain of the left elbow, pain and contusion of the left elbow and left arm, pain in her right leg, strain and pain of the lower back, headaches, periodic numbness across the right thigh and right leg and fracture of the ulna.
The semi truck lawsuit goes on to argue that the minor riding in the front seat at the time of the accident experienced laceration on the top of her head, headaches, pain, strain and swelling of the left ankle, bilateral pain, chest pain, thigh contusions and bilateral hip pain.
The semi truck lawsuit says that the defendants jointly and severely are negligent and reckless due to the injuries caused that impaired both of the plaintiffs.
The Truck Injury Lawsuit is Case No. 3:18-cv-03274-MGL, filed in the State Court in the State of South Carolina, County of Richland.
