A federal court entered judgment requiring Keystone RV Co. to pay $2,000 to eligible class members who currently own Passport Brand Western Edition travel trailers with wood roof trusses, resolving claims the company misrepresented the materials used to build the trailers.

The Keystone RV class consists of consumers who purchased a new Passport Brand Western Edition trailer from a Keystone authorized dealership in California before Dec. 1, 2019, with a serial number ending after HX414101.

According to the class action lawsuit, Keystone manufactured Passport Brand Western Edition trailers with serial numbers ending after HX414101 using wood roof trusses while representing until Dec. 1, 2019, that the trailers were built with “5 [inch] Crowned/Stamped Galvanized Steel Roof Trusses.”

Keystone RV Co. is a manufacturer of travel trailers, fifth-wheel trailers and toy haulers. The company has been in business since 1996 and is based in Goshen, Indiana.

Keystone has not admitted any wrongdoing, but the court entered judgment in favor of eligible class members who currently own qualifying trailers with wood roof trusses.

Under the Keystone class action judgment, eligible class members who currently own a qualifying trailer with wood roof trusses may receive a $2,000 payment by submitting a valid request for payment and supporting documentation. Class members whose trailers have metal roof trusses are not eligible for the payment and do not need to submit a request.

Requests for payment and supporting documentation must be submitted or postmarked by Aug. 28, 2026.

Payments for approved requests are scheduled to be mailed on or before Oct. 2, 2026.
