Ashley Furniture, Ashley Global Retail and Resident Home have agreed to a $9 million class action settlement to resolve claims that certain mattresses sold under the “Ashley,” “Nectar,” “DreamCloud” and “Siena” brands contained fiberglass as a fire-retardant material, which can cause physical harm to consumers.
The Ashley Furniture class action settlement benefits consumers who purchased an affected Ashley, Nectar, DreamCloud or Siena mattress that contained fiberglass as a fire-retardant material between Oct. 1, 2017, and June 30, 2024.
A list of affected mattresses can be found on the settlement website.
According to the class action lawsuit, certain Ashley, Nectar, DreamCloud and Siena mattresses contained fiberglass as a fire-retardant material. When the outer cover of these mattresses was removed, fiberglass allegedly passed through the cover and caused physical harm to consumers.
Ashley Furniture is a furniture store with locations across the United States. The company sells a variety of furniture, including mattresses.
Ashley Furniture has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $9 million class action settlement to resolve these allegations.
Under the terms of the Ashley Furniture settlement, class members can receive a voucher for use on a single purchase at AshleyFurniture.com, NectarSleep.com, DreamCloudSleep.com or SienaSleep.com. No minimum purchase will be required to use the voucher.
Class members who submit a valid claim form will be entitled to one voucher per affected mattress purchased. The voucher will expire one year after distribution and must be used in a single transaction.
Class members who received an email notice do not need to provide documentation with their claim form. Class members who did not receive an email notice must provide proof of purchase to receive a voucher.
Proof of purchase includes a sales receipt, store record, photo of the label or tag of the mattress purchased displaying the SKU, item number or serial number, or other documentation verifying the purchase of an affected mattress.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 17, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the DreamCloud class action settlement is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2026.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by July 17, 2026.
