Willow TV agreed to pay $850,000 as part of a class action settlement to resolve claims it shared user information without consent in violation of federal law.
The Willow TV settlement benefits individuals who subscribed to Willow TV and watched pre-recorded videos on willow.tv between July 20, 2021, and Sept. 22, 2023.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim Willow TV shared users’ information with third parties without their consent. This allegedly violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) and California data privacy law.

Willow TV has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $850,000 class action settlement to resolve the VPPA class action lawsuit.
Under the terms of the Willow TV settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the number of claims filed with the settlement. Exact payment amounts will vary, but class members can estimate their payment using the number of class members and the net settlement fund.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is July 21, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the data privacy class action settlement is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2027.
