Strides Pharma has agreed to a $750,000 class action settlement to resolve claims that its testosterone gel products were contaminated with benzene, a known carcinogen.

The Strides settlement benefits consumers who purchased Strides testosterone gel between June 1, 2022, and July 31, 2025.

According to a class action lawsuit, Strides’ testosterone gel products were contaminated with benzene, a known human carcinogen, during the manufacturing process due to Strides’ alleged negligence. Plaintiffs in the case say they would not have purchased the contaminated testosterone gel products if they had known the truth about Strides’ manufacturing process.

Strides Pharma is a global pharmaceutical company that manufactures and sells generic and branded drugs.

Strides has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to resolve these allegations with a class action settlement.

Under the terms of the Strides settlement, class members can receive a cash payment based on the amount they paid for Strides gel and the date of purchase.

Class members who purchased testosterone gel can receive the following reimbursements for their out-of-pocket payments: 40% from June 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2023; 75% from Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024; and 100% from Jan. 1, 2025, through July 31, 2025.

The settlement also provides a minimum baseline payment of $3.50 per prescription, as further modified by the percentages based on purchase date.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 17, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the Strides testosterone gel settlement is scheduled for Nov. 19, 2026.

The deadline to submit a claim with the class action settlement is Sept. 16, 2026.
