Athena Cosmetics agreed to a $4.17 million class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims its RevitaLash and RevitaBrow products contain potentially dangerous ingredients.
The RevitaLash settlement benefits consumers who purchased RevitaLash Advanced Eyelash Conditioner, RevitaLash Advanced Sensitive Eyelash Conditioner, RevitaLash Advanced Pro Eyelash Conditioner and/or RevitaBrow Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner from Jan. 1, 2017, through Dec. 29, 2025.
Athena Cosmetics is a beauty company that sells RevitaLash and RevitaBrow products. According to the company’s website, RevitaLash is the No. 1 selling lash serum in the world.
Consumers filed a class action lawsuit against Athena Cosmetics in October 2024, claiming the company’s RevitaLash and RevitaBrow products contain potentially dangerous ingredients. Specifically, the class action lawsuit challenges the inclusion of dechloro dihydroxy difluoro ethylcloprostenolamide (DDDE), a chemical related to the glaucoma drug Latisse.
According to the plaintiffs, Athena Cosmetics failed to warn consumers that its RevitaLash and RevitaBrow products contain DDDE. The ingredient allegedly poses serious side effects, including eye irritation, redness, darkening of the eyelid and eye inflammation.
Athena Cosmetics has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay $4.17 million to resolve the allegations.
Under the terms of the RevitaBrow class action settlement, class members can receive either a cash payment or a product voucher. Those who submit a valid claim will be entitled to a cash payment for each product claimed, and with proof of purchase they will be eligible for multiple payments.
Consumers who do not have proof of purchase can submit a claim for a cash payment of $20 or a product voucher worth $110 toward the purchase of any product sold by Athena Cosmetics on its RevitaLash e-commerce website. Class members without proof of purchase will be limited to one cash payment per household.
The deadline for exclusion and objection is April 20, 2026.
The final approval hearing for the RevitaLash class action settlement is scheduled for May 21, 2026.
To receive settlement benefits, class members must submit a valid claim form by April 20, 2026.
