Farmers Insurance has agreed to a $1.25 million class action settlement to resolve claims that it violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by contacting consumers whose phone numbers were registered on the National Do-Not-Call Registry.

The Farmers Insurance settlement benefits individuals who received calls or text messages from insurance agents Nickolas Ward, Nate Esparza, Kyle Ryan Gray, Dustin Huffman, Jason Hall, Brian Shirey and LeNard Rhone or their agencies marketing Farmers Insurance from April 19, 2020, through June 15, 2026.

According to a class action lawsuit, Farmers Insurance violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by contacting consumers with marketing calls and messages despite their numbers being registered on the National Do-Not-Call Registry. The plaintiff in the case says he received multiple calls from Farmers Insurance agents despite never giving the company permission to contact him.

Farmers Insurance is a national insurance company that provides home, auto, life and business insurance.

Farmers has not admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to a $1.25 million class action settlement to resolve the allegations.

Under the terms of the Farmers Insurance settlement, class members can receive a pro rata share of the settlement fund, up to $160. Exact payment amounts will vary depending on the number of claims filed with the settlement and the payments of administrative expenses, attorney’s fees and costs, and any service award to the named plaintiff. Class members may receive a smaller payment if a large number of claims are filed.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 27, 2026.

The final approval hearing for the Farmers Insurance settlement is scheduled for Aug. 27, 2026.

To receive a class action settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by Sept. 14, 2026.
