Vector Marketing Sales Representative Wage Settlement

Vector Marketing Corporation has agreed to pay $13 million to settle a class action lawsuit that accuses the company of not paying minimum wages to its sales representatives. As a result, any sales representatives who signed a Sales Representative Agreement in California with Vector Marketing between 2004 and 2011 can receive approximately $57 to $75 from the class action settlement.

The Vector Marketing settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, titled Harris v. Vector Marketing Corporation, that alleges Vector failed to pay minimum wages to sales representatives for time they spent in initial training and improperly required sales representatives to purchase Vector’s “sample kit.”

The Vector Marketing class action settlement covers all sales representatives who signed a Sales Representative Agreement in California with Vector Marketing Corporation at some point between October 15, 2004 and April 6, 2011. Class members will be part of either one or both of the two settlement subclasses: (1) the Training Time Subclass and (2) the Sample Kit Subclass.

To recover your share of the Vector Marketing wage settlement, you must submit a valid claim form on or before July 8 2011. The amount you receive from the settlement will depend upon which subclass you fall under:

(1) Each member of the Training Time Subclass can expect to receive approximately $57, after deductions for fees, costs, expenses, incentive award, and the payment to the LWDA.

(2) Each member of the Sample Kit Subclass can expect to receive approximately $75, after deductions.
