The Golf Mart & Roger Dunn Golf Shops Class Action Settlement
By Matt O’Donnell

A proposed class action lawsuit settlement has been reached with The Golf Mart and Roger Dunn Golf Shops for unlawfully requesting personal information from customers who used their credit cards to make a purchase. The class action settlement will provide $15 Gift Cards to anyone who made a credit card purchase at one of these retail stores in California within the past five years.
The settlement will resolve a class action lawsuit, entitled Eric Flores v. Worldwide Golf Enterprises, Inc., et al., that alleges The Golf Mart and Roger Dunn Golf Shops violated California law by requesting customers’ addresses, email addresses, zip codes and/or phone numbers in connection with credit card transactions. The Golf Mart and Roger Dunn Golf Shops deny any wrongdoing, but have agreed to settle the case to avoid ongoing litigation.
The Golf Mart and Roger Dunn Golf Shops class action settlement will provide $15 Gift Cards to anyone whose personal identification information was provided and/or entered into an electronic customer database at The Golf Mart or Roger Dunn Golf Shops retail stores in California, at any time from June 10, 2006 to the present.
