His slip and fall in hotel shower recently caused a Virginia resident to file a personal injury lawsuit against Red Roof Inn Franchising, LLC.
Plaintiff Dennis D. filed the lawsuit in Pennsylvania federal court on March 7, 2018.
According to the slip and fall in hotel shower lawsuit, the plaintiff was visiting his sister’s surprise 80th birthday party on Nov. 12, 2016 and stayed at the Red Roof Inn.
Just prior to that date, the lawsuit states, Red Roof received complaints and negative online reviews that its “bathtubs were dangerously slippery and posed a known risk or serious injury to its patrons.”
According to the lawsuit, the bathtubs had an absence of proper tub basin traction, a grab bar, and a proper bath mat. The plaintiff alleges that his slip and fall in hotel shower incident of the hotel’s bathroom which caused him to suffer serious injuries and damages.
Immediately after his fall, Dennis says he was unable to bring himself back up and that he was “confined to the shower floor, undressed and in excruciating pain, until a team of medical responders helped him out of the shower and delivered him by ambulance to the Emergency Department at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Presbyterian Hospital for medical treatment.”
The slip and fall in hotel shower lawsuit alleges the Pennsylvania hotel was negligent.
Dennis demands a trial by jury.
