xarelto internal bleedingMany Eliquis users have experienced severe internal bleeding. This Eliquis side effect was allegedly not included on the warning label, and the fact that no Eliquis antidote existed was only mentioned in a small note to physicians. As a result, countless individuals have suffered from uncontrollable Eliquis bleeds and have filed lawsuits against the drug manufacturers accordingly.

About Eliquis

Eliquis is a new anticoagulant that was introduced to the market as an alternative to warfarin (Coumadin), the previously leading blood thinning medication. Eliquis is the third anticoagulant that has been manufactured in the past several years that belongs to the class of drugs called Factor Xa Inhibitors. It was marketed as easier to use and even more effective than warfarin, as Eliquis does not require blood monitoring or a change in diet as warfarin does.

All Factor Xa Inhibitors, including Xarelto and Pradaxa, have been connected with severe internal bleeding side effects. Despite the fact that Eliquis is the third drug to be made in this class of drugs, there are allegedly no adequate warnings on the label informing patients about the risk of suffering from severe Eliquis side effects. Instead, countless individuals have been put at risk of internal bleeding.

Furthermore, if a patient using warfarin experiences internal bleeding, there is an antidote that a physician may give them. If an Eliquis user has internal bleeding side effects, there is not antidote that may be given. Many patients have died from uncontrolled Eliquis side effects. It has also been alleged that Eliquis is not noticeably or even actually more effective than warfarin. Already, these Factor Xa Inhibitor medications may have become one of the most dangerous classes of drugs on the market.

Eliquis Lawsuits

Many individuals have chosen to file an Eliquis lawsuit against the drug manufacturer for failing to warn against potentially deadly Eliquis internal bleeding. Wrongful death Eliquis lawsuits have also been filed against the drug manufacturer.

Eliquis lawsuits can help patients win compensation for medical costs, pain and suffering, loss of earnings, and other emotional and physical costs associated with Eliquis internal bleeding. Spouses who have lost intimacy with their spouse because of Eliquis side effects may file for loss of consortium.

Eliquis is not alone. Thousands of lawsuits have been filed against the manufacturers of Xarelto and Pradaxa. Already, the manufacturer of Pradaxa has paid millions of dollars in settlements to over 3,000 plaintiffs that have filed internal bleeding side effect lawsuits.

Eliquis side effects may include bleeding on the brain, intestinal bleeding, kidney bleeding, uncontrolled bleeding, deep vein thrombosis, and death. Eliquis lawsuits have claimed that plaintiffs would not have taken the drug had they been aware of dangers of Eliquis and its side effects.
