Gerber has initiated a voluntary recall of specific batches of its Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits following concerns about foreign materials found in the product.
The recall affects limited batches produced between July and September 2025, with the potential presence of soft plastic and/or paper pieces being the primary concern.
The recall was announced on Jan. 26 and published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Jan. 28. It applies to Gerber Arrowroot Biscuits 5.5oz products, identifiable by specific batch codes listed on the packaging. These codes include 5198565504 and 5202565504, among others, with best before dates ranging from Oct. 16 to Dec. 16, 2026.
According to the recall, the issue stems from an arrowroot flour supplier who had previously initiated a recall, prompting Gerber to cease working with them.
“The quality, safety and integrity of our products remain our highest priority, and we take this responsibility seriously,” the recall states.
