Miss Vickie’s recall overview:

  • Who: Frito-Lay is recalling select 8 oz. bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips.
  • Why: The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared milk allergen.
  • Where: The recall is effective in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

Frito-Lay is recalling certain bags of Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Potato Chips after discovering they may contain undeclared milk, posing a risk to those with dairy allergies.

The recall was announced on March 3 and concerns 8 oz. bags of the chips that might include jalapeño-flavored chips, which contain milk.

This recall affects products distributed since Jan. 15, 2026, across various retailers in six states. According to the recall notice, the issue was identified following a consumer complaint.

The affected products are marked with a “Guaranteed Fresh” date of April 21, 2026, and specific manufacturing codes: 38U301414 or 48U101514. The UPC code listed on the back of the bag is 0 28400 761772.

Frito-Lay has emphasized that no other Miss Vickie’s products, sizes, or flavors, including those in Variety Packs, are part of this recall.

Consumers with milk allergies advised to avoid Spicy Dill Pickle Chips

The Miss Vickie’s  recall notice advises consumers with milk allergies to avoid consuming the affected Spicy Dill Pickle Chips and to discard them immediately.

 “Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product,” the recall says.

Consumers can visit the Miss Vickie’s Contact Us page or call 1-877-984-2543 during business hours. The company has informed the FDA about this action, and while the FDA will classify the recall, the guidance to consumers remains unchanged.

Frito-Lay says it has not received any reports of illness or injury related to the recall so far. The company is not currently facing legal action over the recall, but Top Class Actions follows recalls closely as they sometimes lead to class action lawsuits.

In other news, Frito-Lay is currently facing class action allegations its Poppables snacks are labeled as having “No Artificial Flavors” but contain citric acid, a synthetic flavoring agent.
