AA new class action lawsuit alleges AT&T improperly billed its business customers for telephone services that were suspended, disconnected or terminated.
BHS Law LLP claims AT&T improperly kept payments for services it did not provide while transitioning customers away from its analog copper phone network to digital or IP-based alternatives.
“Defendants created new or modified billing accounts, altered service conditions and imposed new payment obligations without adequate notice or express, written assent while continuing to bill customers automatically,” the AT&T class action lawsuit says.
BHS Law seeks to represent a nationwide group of business customers whose AT&T business phone lines were suspended, disconnected, or terminated, but who were still billed during one or more periods when AT&T did not provide working service.
AT&T allegedly failed to provide timely notice of service cutoffs
BHS Law claims the affected lines were used only for fire-alarm signaling and life-safety compliance, meaning AT&T’s alleged actions had “foreseeable regulatory and operational consequences.”
According to the AT&T class action lawsuit, this included lost fire-alarm monitoring, intervention by local fire authorities and emergency compliance measures.
“Defendants’ practices constitute unjust and unreasonable conduct under federal telecommunications law, breaches of contractual and equitable obligations and unfair and unlawful business practices under California law,” the AT&T class action lawsuit says.
BHS Law claims AT&T is guilty of breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, money had and received, unjust enrichment and unfair competition.
The plaintiff demands a jury trial and requests declaratory and injunctive relief and an award of restitution and disgorgement, actual damages, pre- and post-judgment interest and attorneys’ fees and costs.
In 2025, AT&T Inc. faced a class action lawsuit alleging it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending telemarketing text messages to consumers who had attempted to opt out.

211 thoughts onAT&T class action alleges business customers billed for disconnected services
Yes I had used ATT for my business. They disconnected service but continued to bill my company. I lost business because of this. I am now out of business.
I had a family plan. One of my sons took on the responsibility of his bill. They said I get billed for the entire month they can’t prorate but they are also going to g to bill him for that billing cycle also do the time he opened his account but told me they can’t prorate my account so we are double billed for the same service.
att stopped handling of my email. I could not get back on it. I am left with emails that i can not open.
Add me
ATT sent my business Apple watches we do not want during our upgrade to iPhone 17. The 611 support agents will not generate return labels for us. When I visit the corporate stores, I am told I must call 611 to initiate the return. 611 tells me to go to the store. I have been to three different ATT stores and called support over 10 times. Now I am being told I can’t return the unwanted, unopened watches since they are over 30 days old. First bill went up about $500 for activation fees, sales tax and the now recurring $150 per month for the added phone lines. And support is horrendous. After going thru the computerized voice attendant, 9 out of 10 calls get disconnected while talking to the agent and you must start all over again. For a telecommunications company, they have the worst line quality of any call center I have ever called.
Please add me to this, I’m soo tired of AT&T I’m never late paying my bill, and they always trying to add late fee’s!!
I sent BHS a message detailing the situation with my mom’s prepaid plan that was canceled without notice with 9 months paid service that they refused to refund.
My service recently got suspended and I still got billed for services. Not to mention i had talk to att and they promised and guaranteed me that my service wouldn’t get disconnected until I got paid and they didn’t stand behind their promise and guarantee. I work out on the road and they disconnected my service while I was on my way to a job in Georgia so I lost a whole day of work and my trip was gave to someone else because I had to stop and try to get them to reconnect my service and they wouldn’t so I had to stop and buy a phone and service from T-Mobile in which I really don’t care for.
I have been receiving a continuous bill for on going 7 months now. My service was suspended or cancelled since July 2025
We were with At&T for over 12 years always being charged ridiculous fees.
