Were You Injured by a Cuisinart Pressure Cooker?Did you purchase what you thought was a safe Cuisinart pressure cooker, only to have the device malfunction or even cause explosions? If so, you can report the problem and may even be able to file a lawsuit and pursue compensation for the defect or any injuries that may have occurred.

Pressure Cooker Dangers

When customers purchase a Cuisinart pressure cooker, they expect to receive a safe product. But more and more of these pressure cooker owners are reporting problems with their devices. Customer reports include problems like malfunctioning, defective parts and even explosions.

These pressure cooker explosions can end up forcibly expelling boiling hot food and liquid into the vicinity, endangering those standing nearby. Explosions have been attributed to malfunctioning valves that allow the device pressure to build without offering any release.

In other cases, explosions have been linked with “safe lock lids.” These mechanisms are supposed to guarantee a safe pressure cooker, but consumers report that these mechanisms have failed by allowing the lid to be opened before the contents have been depressurized.

Some have reported suffering from second- and third-degree burns because of such explosions. Others have reported that the supposedly airtight seal on their Cuisinart pressure cooker broke too early, which allowed them to suffer from hot steam burns.

The plaintiff in a recent Cuisinart class action lawsuit says these cookers are at risk for exploding, scattering scalding-hot food over persons nearby. Even if no one is actually nearby when a pressure cooker device malfunctions, or if they avoid being hit by the hot liquid, the explosions may also cause damage to the room or nearby objects.

Filing an Exploding Pressure Cooker Lawsuit

Did you purchase a supposedly safe pressure cooker from Cuisinart in 2015 or earlier, only to later suffer from injuries or other damages caused by a device malfunction or explosion?

You have the right to expect a safe product from companies like Cuisinart. If your Cuisinart pressure cooker has malfunctioned or you have suffered injuries because of a defective device, you may be able to file a lawsuit and pursue compensation. Filing a lawsuit cannot undo the damage caused by pressure cooker injuries, but it may be able to offer some kind of financial compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, property damage, and more.
