Top Class Actions viewers are reporting that they are receiving checks worth up to $15.14 from the NatureMade TripleFlex class action settlement over allegations that the company made false and misleading statements about the supplements.

In 2011, lead plaintiff, Lorean Barrera, alleged in the NatureMade TripleFlex supplement class action lawsuit that the maker, Pharmavite, deceptively marketed various products as beneficial for joint health.

The plaintiff also said the packaging of various NatureMade products contained false statements about glucosamine and chondroitin.

According to the NatureMade TripleFlex supplement class action lawsuit, science does not support the marketing claims made on dozens of nutritional supplements made by Pharmavite.

Pharmavite denied any wrongdoing but agreed to pay Class Members for covered products they purchased as a part of the NatureMade TripleFlex supplement class action settlement.

Under the terms of the settlement, Class Members who filed a timely claim with proof of purchase could receive up to $25 per bottle or $12.50 per bottle without proof of purchase for covered products purchased between May 1, 2007 and June 5, 2017.

Covered products, under the terms of the NatureMade TripleFlex class action settlement included various TripleFlex products, as well as NatureMade glucosamine products and Berkley and Jensen (BJ’s) glucosamine products.

Pharmavite agreed to pay $1 million under the terms of the settlement that would be distributed on a pro rata basis to Class Members who made timely claims.

Further, Pharmavite also agreed to stop using various terms in its advertising of the products, including “rebuild,” “renew,” and “rejuvenate,” for two years as a part of the NatureMade TripleFlex class action settlement.

The deadline to file a claim for the NatureMade TripleFlex supplement class action settlement passed on Nov. 13, 2017.

The NatureMade TripleFlex class action settlement was approved at a final hearing held Dec. 4, 2017. While an appeal was filed, it was later voluntarily dismissed.
