TransPerfect employees, both current and former, may be entitled to identity theft protection and reimbursement under a new settlement agreement between the company and plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit over an alleged data breach.
The identity theft protection coverage is valued at $3.5 million, while the reimbursement coverage offers an estimated $19.5 million to Class Members.
The TransPerfect data breach class action settlement stems from allegations that employee data was exposed during a data breach in January 2017. Plaintiffs accused TransPerfect of failing to protect current and former employees’ personal information.
The TransPerfect class action lawsuit plaintiffs alleged that payroll information and W-2 data was exposed in the data breach.
