Plaintiff Gherson Tovar filed the Drew’s salad dressing class action lawsuit in June 2016, challenging the allegedly deceptive, unfair and false practices associated with the labeling of Drew’s All Natural Salad Dressings and Quick Marinades.

Tovar claims that the products are not “all natural” because they contain citric acid and/or xanthan gum, which are both synthetic ingredients. According to the Drew’s class action lawsuit, reasonable customers would not expect to find synthetic ingredients in a product that is labeled as “all natural.”

Drew’s denies the allegations but agreed to settle the all natural salad dressing class action lawsuit to avoid the burden and expense of ongoing litigation.

The deadline to file a claim for the Drew’s all natural salad dressing class action settlement passed on July 15, 2017.

The Drew’s salad dressing class action settlement received final approval on May 16, 2017.
